EVENT (31 March '21): Accessing consultancy opportunities in Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning

We're delighted to invite you to a live meet-up (IC-Hubbers only) with Ann-Murray Brown, the go-to Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) expert, about what MEL consultancy opportunities exist and how you can access them. As always, it'll be an intimate fireside live zoom call, with plenty of opportunity for Q&A.

Who is this for?

  • Existing and potential independent consultants who are interested in MEL consultancy opportunities.

  • Most suited to consultants with prior MEL experience or strong thematic research background.

  • Less experienced professionals are also welcome to join to learn about pathways towards working in MEL.

When is it and how to register?

It will take place on Wednesday, 31 March at 5pm UK time (6pm Brussels/Paris, midday New York). You can join the IC-Hub to access the link to register on the welcome message.

What will we learn?

  • What consulting opportunities exist in MEL in the international development and social impact spaces and how you can access those opportunities.

  • How thematic specialists or research-focused consultants can enter the MEL market.

  • How in-house MEL staff can transition to become independent MEL specialists.

  • How Ann became a successful MEL expert herself.

Introducing the speaker

Really excited to welcome Ann to the IC-Hub, as she is not only a brilliant MEL expert, but she's also an excellent independent consultant, IC-Hub member, and trains people on MEL.

Ann is a proud ‘island girl’ who hails from the country of the world’s fastest sprinters- Jamaica. She went on to live and study in South Korea and then adopted The Netherlands as her second home for nearly 10 years.

She is a seasoned MEL expert with nearly two decades of professional experience and is the holder of multiple advanced degrees from the University of the West Indies and Ewha Womans University.

Ann has been involved in consultancies funded and implemented by international organisations such as the United Nations and the European Commission. Her sectorial interests are Gender Equality, Poverty Reduction, Migration, Social Protection, Child Protection, Human Rights and Justice Reform.

Apart from her professional activities, she is a philanthropist, a member of the Rotary Club and other voluntary organisations.

We look forward to seeing you there! IC-Hubbers will also receive the full replay and additional resources from Ann.
