About Alicia Cabero Borrós, Gender Specialist
We're delighted to showcase Alicia as part of our ongoing IC-Hub Member Spotlight series!
Alicia is an Independent Gender and Women's Rights Specialist, who helps international NGOs and governmental organisations through advisory, research, project design and training. She has over 15 years of professional experience in programme design, implementation, management and the monitoring and evaluation of projects, gender mainstreaming in key development sectors (environment/climate change, food security, migration, health and human rights – GBV) and gender technical advice.
Alicia has delivered projects across the globe, including at field offices and organisational headquarters in Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia. Alicia has collaborated with bilateral institutions, national and local governments, as well as international and local NGOs, including women organisations. Alicia's past clients and collaborators include the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), the United Nations, the Agence française de développement (AFD), European Union institutions, and decentralised cooperation agencies. She holds a degree in Environmental Sciences and an MSc in Strategies, Stakeholders and Policies in Development Cooperation.
